The Sanofi Innovations in Data Exploration, Analytics & Technology (iDEA-TECH) Awards program provides seed funding to innovators at research centers and early start-ups to transform breakthrough digital, data science tools and new technologies into solutions that accelerate the R&D pipeline and improve people’s lives.

Full Proposal Guidelines

General Guidelines


Please note that full proposals that do not the below guidelines will not be evaluated and that out-of-scope projects will not be considered.

  • Submit your detailed proposal within the below provided template only, without modification
  • Full proposal should be 8 pages maximum (excluding general information, budget, section 9, and references). You may adapt the length of fields at your convenience.
  • If a CDA is signed, full proposals can include confidential information (all information would be covered by a CDA with your institution before application submission as well as before confidential discussions with Sanofi champions).
  • Full proposals cannot include 3rd party collaborators. The only exception is for third parties within EU that have already signed framework agreements.
  • The $150,000 USD / ¥1,060,000 CNY / €120.000 EUR budget is inclusive of all costs. Indirect costs are not negotiated between Sanofi and applicant institutions.
  • Award funds cannot be used to fund a clinical trial.
For academic participants, please send your full proposal(s) directly to your TTO according to the timelines provided by your institution. Please note that Sanofi will not evaluate detailed proposals sent directly- your institution will centralize all full proposals and submit to this platform by the deadline.
 
For start-ups, please upload your full proposals directly to this platform by the deadline.
