iDEA-TECH Awards 2025-2026
The Sanofi Innovations in Data Exploration, Analytics & Technology (iDEA-TECH) Awards program provides seed funding to innovators at research centers and early start-ups to transform breakthrough digital, data science tools and new technologies into solutions that accelerate the R&D pipeline and improve people’s lives.
Timeline
Application Process
Step 1 – Pre-Proposal Submission
Applicants submit a non-confidential pre-proposal using the provided template. This includes:
- A Project Summary
- Statement of Unmet Need, Innovation and Significance
- A high-level Research Description that fits within a 12-month work plan
Proposals may be at any maturity level but must align with one or more Thematic Areas and Sub-Category/ies outlined in the “Scope of the Call”

Step 2 – Full Proposal Submission
Selected applicants will be invited to submit an 8–10 page Full Proposal. A Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA) will be established during this phase. Applicants have the opportunity to collaborate with Sanofi scientists to refine their proposals under CDA.
Full Proposals will be reviewed by a panel of internal scientific experts and presented to senior leadership for selection by the Scientific Selection Committee (SSC).
