The Sanofi Innovations in Data Exploration, Analytics & Technology (iDEA-TECH) Awards program provides seed funding to innovators at research centers and early start-ups to transform breakthrough digital, data science tools and new technologies into solutions that accelerate the R&D pipeline and improve people’s lives.

Application Process

Step 1 – Pre-Proposal Submission

 

Applicants submit a non-confidential pre-proposal using the provided template. This includes: 

  • A Project Summary
  • Statement of Unmet Need, Innovation and Significance
  • A high-level Research Description that fits within a 12-month work plan

Proposals may be at any maturity level but must align with one or more Thematic Areas and Sub-Category/ies outlined in the “Scope of the Call”

Step 2 – Full Proposal Submission

 

Selected applicants will be invited to submit an 8–10 page Full Proposal. A Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA) will be established during this phase if not already covered under a framework agreement/MSA. Applicants have the opportunity to collaborate with Sanofi scientists to refine their proposals under CDA. 

Full Proposals will be reviewed by a panel of internal scientific experts and presented to senior leadership for selection by the Scientific Selection Committee (SSC).
