Sanofi iAwards initiative is a multi-institutional partnership program designed to support collaborations with academic investigators to accelerate innovative early stage, disease-relevant research towards the clinic. With this program, Sanofi aims to fund cutting-edge translational research that can contribute to our early-stage pipeline and ultimately benefit patients.

Application Process
Step 1 – Pre-Proposal Submission
Applicants submit a non-confidential 2 page pre-proposal using the provided template. This includes:
- A Project Summary
- Statement of Unmet Need, Innovation and Significance
- A high-level Research Description that fits within a 12-month work plan
Proposals may be at any maturity level but must align with one or more Therapeutic Areas as outlined in the “Scope of the Call”

Step 2 – Full Proposal Submission
Selected applicants will be invited to submit an 5 page Full Proposal. Applicants have the opportunity to collaborate directly with Sanofi scientists to refine during the submission window.
Full Proposals will be reviewed by a panel of internal scientific experts and presented to senior leadership for selection by the Scientific Selection Committee (SSC).
