iNext is a pitching competition designed to spark transformational "moon-shot" ideas. Sanofi invites innovative Startups and Academic Labs from both North America and Europe to submit groundbreaking proposals, in the fields of either (1) Next-Gen approaches to counter aging related cellular and tissue dysfunction and/or (2) paradigm shifting strategies for targeted delivery of large molecules and nucleic acids.
iNext Pitching Competition
Welcome to Sanofi iNext, a groundbreaking initiative designed to bridge the gap between innovation and patient care. This pitching competition aims to identify and incubate breakthrough ideas that push the boundaries of traditional R&D and venture investment frameworks. Selected “Moonshot” ideas will receive up to USD $500,000 per project (inclusive of all costs) to fund an 18-months journey of groundbreaking research, supported by Sanofi’s R&D expertise.
Sanofi iNext targets high-risk cutting edge ideas that currently falls outside the scope of existing funding mechanisms that support early stage innovation. Together, we’re shaping the future of healthcare, by empowering bold ideas and fostering transformative breakthroughs.

Who can apply?
You are an Academic Lab or a Biotech based in North America or Europe, and has a proposal matching one of the two categories.
Projects must have a translational approach; basic science proposals will not be considered for review.
Next-Gen approaches to counter aging related cellular and tissue dysfunction
including approaches to restore cellular and tissue function, counteract age-related immune decline, prevent chronic inflammation, and retain vaccine response
Paradigm shifting strategies for targeted delivery of large molecules
including proteins (antigenic and therapeutic) and genetic material across biological barriers (skin, mucosa, BBB, intracellular/intranuclear)

Pitch Show Case
The final pitching show case will be held virtually in June 2026 (exact date TBC). The invited finalists will have an unique opportunity to pitch in front of the key decision makers in Sanofi.
The results will then be announced two weeks after the Pitching Event!
